The Space
Derek Carter’s Deerfield Studios is located in the rolling hills just outside of Cleveland, Ohio. The building is situated on a large rural property with views to a beautiful landscape.

The Design
The design organizes the program into two clear zones, the studio and the administration. Each functional zone includes large glazed openings and has their own private terrace with strong connections to the landscape and its immediate surroundings.
The facilities are bright and spacious and incorporate full barrier free design. Accessibility was a key design criteria, which is typically not found in studios.
